LAST NEWS ABOUT FARIBA-Note 163
Dear all Fariba's friends
We met Fraiba yesterday, (they changed the day of visiting from monday to sunday), through the glass divider.
She was so depressed, sad, angry, anxious ...She said that the man who is responsible for her file has told her last week : "Your file is complete and we have sent it to the prosecutor's office" (DADSARA), but when we go to DADSARA they say : we got nothing, her file is not here.
Till now her lawyer couldn't meet Fariba however she has an official permission from the prosecutor's office.
Nowadays, she is in a cell with a woman who is smuggler. She takes 8-9 tablets for her depression and anxiety .
She is realy tired...
Best Wishes

CONFERENCE DE PRESSE-Note 160

FARIBA EST EN GREVE DE LA FAIM-Note 158
All dear Fariba's friends
As you may know, Hengameh Shahidi is another journalist who has passed last 4 months in Evin prison. She was cell mate with Fariba for around 35 days. They both have begun hunger strike about four days ago, and for this reason they seperated them. Now, Hengameh is in public section and we dont know Fariba is alone or not?!
Anyhow, last night Hengameh called me and asked deeply from her heart : YOU ARE ALSO MY MOTHER, PLEASE SHARE ME IN ANY ACTIVITIES THAT YOU DO FOR FARIBA!
Sincerely Yours
Farideh(Fariba's Mother)
P.S. Among 25 journalists are still in jail, Fariba & Hengameh are only 2 women...

UNE LETTRE DE SA MAMAN A fARIBA-Note 157
My dearest Fariba, I do not know what you are doing at this moment. Perhaps you are talking to your cell mate Hengameh Shahidi, or maybe you are trying to analyze a book. I don’t know if you are sleeping or two months into your arrest you are still in the middle of different administrative procedures to complete your file!
Anyhow, I am not intending to write to you about our sorrows. I do not want to tell you about the pain of separation or the pain we feel when we see your pale face. I do not want to talk about the pain and agony you have been subjected to during this time; a pain that you always try to hide from us. This time I want to tell you about our Mondays, in other words, I would like to call this letter the Monday Chronicles.
The first month of your detention, during which you were held in solitary confinement with no prison visits, finally came to an end. Since then, every Monday either Amir or I, go the visitation hall of Evin. We bring with us all the ID documents of the family and arrive there between 8.30 and 9 am. After getting a blue card from the soldier who stands at the entrance, we write our names and yours on the card and rush to the small window where we get a number. Often there are a few people ahead of us, which means the families whose loved ones are held in Ward 209 have taken their numbers before us. We start speaking to these newly found and dear friends, with whom we share our pain. We exchange information and news while we wait for the small window to open. It might open at nine or maybe even after 10am. Perhaps the blame is on us for having arrived earlier than necessary. We always do, as we all wait the entire week for those brief minutes when we can see our loved ones.
They take our ID documents and ask us the name of the prisoner we have come to visit, although sometimes they find the name on the blue card. Those moments are always the longest because we don’t know what they will say next. Even if we were allowed to have a visit the previous week, it does not mean that we will get one that day. Finally the waiting ends and we can visit. If there is a sign at the back of the blue card, it means the visit will be through the glass divider; otherwise you are among the luckiest and can have a face to face visit.
For some, like Bahman Ahmadi Amoui , visits are always through the glass divider. But the hardest of all is that every week two or three families are told that there are no visits for their prisoners.
At that moment all the ears and eyes turn toward that little window to see who did not get a visit. Who was the unlucky one this week? Was it Saeed Laylaz, Masoud Bastani, Mohammad Ghouchani, Allahyari, Naimipour or….?
At 1 or 1.30 pm all the families who got a visit that day leave the hall. Their eyes are tired and distressed. There is one question in everyone’s mind: Do they have to come back next Monday or will their Monday Chronicles end?
I have changed my return ticket from Mashad to be back on Sunday morning. I will be there this Monday like all other Mondays. It will be the start of your third month of detention and I am impatiently waiting to see you, my dearest Fariba.
We have put all our hopes in the God almighty.
With all my love and from the Shrine of the 8th Imam, I say Salam to you.

LAST NEWS ABOUT FARIBA PAJOOH-Note 156
Saturday, October 24th, 2009
The detention order for journalist, Fariba Pajooh, has been renewed. Earlier this week her prison visits were also canceled.
HRA - The Prisoners’ Rights Unit of HRA reports that, last Monday, prison officials, who were acting under orders, did not let Faiba’s family visit her in prison. The family could only briefly talk to her for minutes over the phone.
In addition, her lawyer, Mina Jaffari, has been notified by the investigator from the 2nd District of the Revolutionary Court that her client’s detention order has been renewed. The news has led to worries that Fariba Pajooh may be transferred back to solitary confinement.
Mina Jaffari, the defense lawyer, told a HRANA reporter that the Tehran prosecutor has ordered all her client’s visits to be canceled. The restriction is all encompassing; neither Jaffari herself nor Fariba’s family are allowed visits.
The lawyer added, “Fariba is still under pressure, and her emotional state is worrisome. Unfortunately, I have never been able to see her and could only get her news through her family.”
Mina Jaffari also talked about the latest development in the case of Isa Saharkhiz, her other client, and said, “Mr. Saharkhiz is still in jail and his detention order has also been renewed, but I have not been given any more information on the file.”
Fariba Pajooh was arrested by Intelligence Ministry agents on August 22nd, 2009, the first day of Ramadan, at her parents’ house. She spent the first month of her detention in solitary confinement. Fariba has been verbally abused by prison guards and is under intense psychological pressure to confess. After one month of solitary confinement, she was moved to a cell that she shared with another detained journalist, Hengameh Shahidi.

LAST NEWS ABOUT FARIBA-Note 148
All Dear friends of Fariba
Fariba is in jail for around 40 days, she was in solitary confinement for one month, in a cell ,and she could only read the holy Quran during that one month.....Now,since last Sunday she is in a room with Ms.Hengameh Shaheedi. They have many "facilities"such as : refrigerator,TV..They can read some other books and buy some things...Anyway,till now, there is no clear reasons why she is in jail ,her lawyer Mr.Nemaat Ahmadi couldn't meet her,It seems she has to stay there at least for another 20 days ...
We ,as her family, have met her 2 times, last Monday and today (Monday is a common day for meeting with political prisoners in Evin Prison/section 209)....she is so sad, however she tries to pretend to be happy!! she expects that her friends write about her and her rights as a human/journalist.
Fariba is worried about her future. Fariba has had depression last year and she was under medication for 3-4 months,.Now ,in jail she takes 3-4 sedative tablets per day ....Her face is colorless/white....Her smiling face ,now cannot smile even for a moment...
